Cakes and Confections
With any cake/confectionery order under $200, prepayment is required. Over $200, a 50% deposit is required and final payment is due 48 hours prior to event or pick up.
Variations in Design
While Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen makes every effort to provide exactly the flavour, filling, decoration, size, colour, shape, and design discussed during consultations, creating cake is an art form and may be subject to variations.
If the customer supplies an image or likeness to be created, Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen will make every attempt to make the item as close to the likeness as possible. In the event that the product requires equipment or ingredients that cannot be obtained within the time allotted (exotic flavours, molds, shapes, stamps, texture, additional novelty such as glitter), the closest resemblance available will be used to complete the product.
Colour matching is not a precise science and different sugar substrates take colour differently. Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen will do everything possible to make substrates match to each other and to match provided colour swatches, but sometimes it is not possible to make a 100% perfect colour match and some colours are just not achievable using food grade dyes.
Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen cannot match a “verbal” colour or a colour sent via electronic device, as all monitors display color differently. To attempt a colour match, you must provide a colour swatch 21 days in advance of the event.
To maintain stability and the integrity of your event cake, we reserve the right to make design and structural changes to your cake on site or off, without prior notification.
Any Products ordered from a picture or photo, of a product produced by any other cake maker, can only be reproduced by Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen as our interpretation of that product and will NOT be an exact reproduction of the product in the picture or photo.
Cakes, fillings and icings may contain, or come into contact with, soy, wheat, dairy, nuts or other allergens.
It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform YMK prior to the confirmation of their booking, of any allergy / intolerance issues. It is the responsibility of the Customer to inform their guests of all allergy/ intolerance information, and accordingly the Supplier will not be held liable for any allergic reaction resulting from consumption of the cake.
All special dietary products are NOT guaranteed suitable for allergies, and are suitable for intolerances only.
Delivery / Pick-up
We encourage you to pick up your items on the date and time agreed upon. Should you require delivery, it be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner. Once delivered to the customer and change of hands has been completed with the product in appropriate condition, it is then up to the Customer to store and care for the cake as per Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen’s instructions . Once the item has been delivered or picked up, we are no longer responsible for the item.
We reserve the right to use any image of a Product made by us for publication on social media or any other media at a later date. We will not post any photos prior to the event as we would like your guests to be surprised and love our product. First impressions are very important to us. We always encourage you to send pictures of our product being enjoyed, when sending us the images, you are therefore releasing us of any indemnity and are giving us permission to use at a later date.
Any Gift Certificates being redeemed will only be honoured if the pickup date is within the expiry period of the voucher. Any Gift Certificate being redeemed must be disclosed prior to placing the order.
The Certificate must be presented prior to ordering and must be returned upon picking up your order, otherwise the items cannot leave the premise.
Disputes & Grievances
Limit of Liability
We at Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen, strive to address any and all issues our customers have and make things right for them.
Should you not be satisfied and have a complaint, you must notify us in writing or via phone call immediately (within 24 hours). The product must be returned for inspection to Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen, should you have an issue with taste, texture or otherwise.
All food sales are final. All payments are non-refundable. Any compensation provided in response to a dispute or grievance will be in the form of credit only.
It is the responsibility of the customer to check the state of the product before leaving the premises. Once the item has left the premises, the Customer has accepted the item as is, and is responsible to ensure that it gets to its destination safely and is stored as per instructions from Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen to achieve best results for taste and quality and to avoid any damage.

Third Party Pickup
If a third party will be collecting the “product(s)” on the Customer’s behalf, this party will be given all appropriate information that would have been given to the customer. Same conditions apply as if customer were to collect themselves.

All price quotations, written or verbal, are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation. A quote is simply a quote and not a booking. Therefore, if you would like to confirm a date, a deposit is required.
A non-refundable Initial Deposit of 25% of the final total amount for the function is required when confirming your date. Final number of guests is required 21 days prior to the function date. The Price Per Person is susceptible to change if the number of guests fall below the set “Price Based Per Person”. Fifty per cent (50%) of the Final Total amount for the function, including the Initial Deposit and taxes, is due upon delivery of the Final Numbers. All pricing is subject to a 20% Gratuity based on the sub-total for an entire event and can be made as a cash payment on the day of the event. If the Gratuity payment is included within any payments being made towards foods and or service then the Gratuity becomes subject to applicable taxes.
The Final Balance is due 21 days prior to the Function Date, and made payable via etransfer, credit card or cash. There in a non-negotiable $100.00 CHARGE FOR ANY RETURNED CHEQUES, with no exceptions allowed. For all credit card purchases a 4% processing charge will be applied to the payment being made. Any payments being made for the same function by cash, etransfer or cheque will not have any additional processing fees.
If Yummy Mummy’s Kitchen has delivered a product that is an accurate interpretation of what has been quoted and invoiced, but the Customer does not accept the finished Product, the deposit WILL NOT be refunded. The Customer can choose to pay the remainder and take the Product/s, or leave them at no extra cost.
YMK accepts cancellations up to 21 days prior to the event date however, it must be communicated via email firstname.lastname@example.org and your 50% deposit is non-refundable. Any cancellations after 21 days of the date, the client forfeits their deposit and the full invoice is payable immediately. Once you have communicated with YMK to advise of your change of plans, if YMK has availability and is able to re-book with minimal disruption to the business, it will be at their discretion to re-book at a later date within 12 months of the initial booked date.
